  9. Hi Tanya,

    I love your Sisterlocks they look amazing! Have you ever taking the time to count them? How many locks do you have? I am in my 2nd set of Sisterlocks and I wish desperately that I could come to you but I live in Dallas, TX. I cut my 1st set because they were too big and now I am a little apprehensive about my 2nd set. I truly want mine to be full and flowing like yours. What do you do to keep them healthy? I am having alot of problems with itching and dandruff. My husband looked through my head last night and he noticed sores. I have been scratching my head some much that my scalp is literally sour to the touch. I have started oiling my hair with 100% pure coconut oil but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

  14. Tanya Walters is a Phenominal Woman and the Best Loc Technician in Maryland!! Tanya's locs look very healthy and well maintained. Whenever I decide to get locs, Tanya will be the only one putting them in~~ :o)

    I do not teach natural hair classes. One of the best places to get your instruction is at the Natural Hair Shows. You just missed one in Baltimore last week. I attended some of the classes. Check these links for upcoming hair shows with classes: www.naturalhairshow.org ; www.locksconference.com .

  18. Good Day Tanya,
    Are you currently teaching classes on starting and maintaining dreads/locs, sisterlocs etc..? I am currently seeking to receive instruction from someone who is educationally sound when it comes to natural hair and is willing to share their knowledge. I love and adore natural hair and I have been granted a opportunity to to what I love(locs) in an upcoming salon in NC. I currently work out my home on weekends but really am hungry to learn different techniques and to perfect the simple palm rolling technique I use on my current clients. Thank You
